Public Hospital & Clinic Education

9 Apr 2018

According to the StatsSA media statement released on 28 September 2017 (www.statssa.gov.za), there were 969,415 live-births registered in South Africa in 2016. This means that in 2016, there were approximately 2,656 babies born and registered every day.

At Cuddlers, we know that not everybody has access to luxuries like antenatal classes where soon-to-be moms can get access to simple, yet important information. Therefore, since 2015, we have been sending educators into public hospitals and clinics around the country in order to impart some knowledge to these ladies who are the mothers of our future.

In 2017, our ladies were able to provide some valuable information to over 275,000 of these expectant moms while they were waiting to meet with the medical professional at their hospital or clinic. They provided education on:

  • How to change baby
  • How to bath baby
  • Baby massage
  • First 6 months development milestones to look for

In 2018, by adding 2 additional educators, we are hoping to reach over 300,000 moms-to-be.

Cuddlers. Caring for Baby, Caring for You.
